This is from my EP "Homage To Halloween". It consists of 4 tracks each focused on specific musical ideas created by John Carpenter. It was composed after watching the trailer for the 2018 Blumhouse film. The EP was treated as a demo for the possibilities of updating the musical ideas for today's audience.

The themes are given a much more emotional, dynamic and dramatic treatment while still amplifying the horror and suspense aspect.

Since the story is 40 years later, Laurie's character would be assumed to have suffered major emotional trauma like in how she was presented in H20. So the original Laurie Theme gets revamped for here changed personality and persona 40 years later. There are elements of the original Laurie themes that are incorporated in this cue.
